I did that once. Got caught in a downpour on Interstate 95, water rolling in and around the window because the weep holes were covered. Had to find a place to pull over, get out, got soaked trying to pull the tape off and had to dry up a lot of water on the inside. I'll never do that again. As soon as I got home I ordered real weep hole covers. Weep holes are there for a reason. Don't tape them. You are asking for trouble.
