Ours got clogged up with trash and water from heavy rains was flowing inside the RV not draining as it should. Big mess but we finally figured it out & keep them cleaned out. I would never tape them.
I also discovered that the window was leaking thru the bottom of the frame and running down on the floor, so they first pulled the window and resealed it to the tune of $600 ( my pocket). They then found water coming down the wall above the window and found a crack in the roof caused by a large limb falling and replaced the roof with PVC to the tune of $7300 which wasd paid for by my comp insurance. Now 2 years later we've found water on the floor and I'm gonna take it back in 'cuz I don't think that they really fixed the window. Dry during the summer, but first rains the drivers window gets real wet inside. - fcooperExplorer

- Carvin_MarvinExplorerI taped the front ones on each side after reading a post on this forum. It was amazing the reduction in wind noise. I don't recall ever having had to clean them.
- GjacExplorer IIIAfter inserting knife tips in the weep holes for years to unclog them I finally had to take up the rubber strips and remove all of the mold and dirt in order to clean out the tracks so the water could flow out of the weep holes.
- the_silverbackExplorerX2 on pipe cleaners.
- w4phjExplorerI use 65 psi and a air nozzle from the bottom up. Lots of stuff goes flying out.
