Are you talking about the ones in Newport RI? If so your right they are interesting, went there last year and camped along the beach in Oct. Nice time of the year no crowds. Caught some blues and lost a 40 lb stripper along the beach.

Fish, sight see, visit local historical sights we are tourists not campers. Our camp site is for replacing hotel room not a source of our entertainment or recreation.

Wife particularly likes old mansions me, hell ya seen one old house ya seen em all.

Drag racing.

When camping, we mostly sit around doing nothing. When we are NOT doing nothing, we take the dog for a walk around the campground and meet new people, read a book, maybe get in the water if we are near a body, I am a fine art photographer so that usually gets my attention for part of the time...especially at sunrise or sunset, I recently obtained a new metal detector, so I might start that when camping.... and of course, as has been well documented by others....adult beveraging. Mostly anything that doesn't involve a telephone or a pager or a television, or any other form of communication with the outside world.

DW has a stressful job in the financial world, and I am an Emergency Management Director for County Government, so there's always something tragic happening in my world....it tends to get to ya after being around death and destruction for 25 years, but it's been a great career. So, when we get out of town, we unwind and fugetaboutit!

We walk, hike, fish, tour the area on our mopeds, wine tasting for DW, and general relaxation.

I take little racing trips with mine go to a dirt oval track Saturday afternoon watch a race Saturday night come home sunday morning

I feel sorry for anyone that thinks that Rving leaves no time for other hobbies. Likewise if fixing your RV is your main hobby. If those are tongue in cheek, good ones.

I am not even going to mention alcohol as a hobby.
