What can be done about rust on a radiator

I was looking at a diesel coach the other day and noticed rust on the bottom of the radiator. Not a lot but it was there. Does that mean a new radiator or having the current one recored?
  • It really shouldn't be rusty. I wonder how much straight water they have been putting in it? Or as Scott says, what else is going on or neglected with the system? Also depends on what coolant is used.
  • You have a couple of things going on.
The radiator wont rust. It is leaking rusty water so the system needs to be flushed and you need to monitor the fluid better in the future to keep its anti-corrosion ability intact.
You'll also need to fix that radiator. Recoring or replacing is up to you.
