I have gone out and started mine every 2 or 4 weeks in the winter but Ive allways left the battery hooked up.This year Im going to use the key device it has and shut ( disconnect) the battery off and see what that does and then turn it on when I start it to see if it makes any difference in the power drain it gets- there is a small solar panel on it too (it will not disconect when the battery does) but we can get really cold here- beyond the panels ability to keep up.
