We love to run over to one of the fine COE or State of Arkansas parks for a few days in the spring. Since the weather forecast is for 70% chance of rain for the next several days and possible snow in NW Arkansas, I guess we will again postpone.
Don't postpone your trip. Cool wet weather is perfect for finding diamonds!
I just got back from camping at the Crater of Diamonds State park in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. The campground is one of nicest I've ever camped in. $30 a night with full hookups.
And for $7.00 a person you can dig in the crater of diamonds and keep all that you find.
I didn't find a diamond on this trip but two other visitors found diamonds the day I was there. One was a 3/4 carat white diamond.
