Hi crawford,
I RV in extreme cold in the winter time (-37 C). Dometic recommends not using an absorption fridge below freezing. During part of the ammonia cycle water is produced. If the water freezes the fridge may "unlove you" and die prematurely.

The solution is to restrict air flow and provide a heat source in addition to what the fridge creates. I'll probably have to experiment with various wattage bulbs to get the right "balance".
The fridge is plugged in before the thermocube switch. I.E. surge protector, current tap (fridge)Thermocube, heat source (40 watt bulb)

pianotuna Why did you add it to refrigerator I can't see doing it to a electric heater. I wouldn't add it to a electric stove would you, same thing.
