Put a new CO detector in. The old Atwood gave one too many false alarms, so I snipped its wires and went shopping.
A replacement from an RV store was $50-$60. A Kidde residential unit was $17 including 3 AA batteries. Figuring 2 years per set of batteries, $.50/battery and a 10 year life span for the detector, it will cost me $23 to own for the life of the unit. No brainer.
Got to use one of the old screw holes, drilled one new one and the unit covers the other unused old one. A five minute install.
