Got a letter in the mail from the town clerk stating I have 10 days to get my RV off my driveway or else face court summons! I've been parking my rig on my driveway for 5 years and its suddenly a problem? Well apparently yes. The town has a rarely enforced no RV's no TT's and no boats of any kind allow on the front of the property including driveways. I mean seriously WTF? Well after talking to the clerk, she said they had to send the letter because apparently there was a complaint made by a neighbor; not just any neighbor but a fellow RV owner who was in a feud with his neighbor over whatever. The opposing neighbor went after him by means of code violation and made an official complaint. According to the clerk, the guy was so posse off that he drove down every street in town and called in every RV and boat owner in violation and that's how I got this letter. Obviously the clerk wouldn't tell me who it was and she said she already gave me too much info, but felt bad. Regardless, as a result, Today I moved Cousin Eddy to his new home on the side of the house (the letter said nothing about the sides) and he's fenced in as well. Only problem with this was I originally stored him here during his first winter. The following spring I discovered a family of squirrels had taken up residence inside my engine. Now mind you, I have a 29' class C with a 460 and anyone here who has the same knows there is virtually no room inside that compartment at all. As a result the little tree rats decided to make their own room and $250 and 8 hours of labor later, I had replaced three vacuum hoses, two injector port harnesses, spliced and soldered various wires and had to build an accelerator cable harness from scratch as the existing one was made for only one year and impossible to find. Thank God for JB Weld.
So now he's back In squirrel country but this time I picked up a few bottles of critter ridder and hopefully that stuff will work. Otherwise I'm screwed.
In the mean time, were looking to move out of town. Not much recourse here.
