We are headed out for a ten day trip to Quartzite, Joshua Tree NP and then south to San Diego so today was spent making sure the coach was ready. Took it to my local tire guys and had them air up the front to 65 and 70 on the rears in anticipation of running fully loaded. Filled the fuel tank ($1.95 a gallon) and topped off the LP tank at $2.99 a gallon.
We had several nights of mid twenties last week so I added 20 gallons to the empty water tank and checked all of my plumbing. I had drained the water tank and added RV anti freeze to the traps, black and grey tanks which worked well as there was no damage. The generator, water heater, stove, furnace and frig all fired right off.
We'll pull the coach in front of the house on the 18th and load. Bright and early Monday the 19th we will be off to the Big Tent in the land of crazy. This will be our 5th year in a row for the Q, can't wait.
