- Jtroop1ExplorerJust got back from garage with the newly installed Borg Dually valves. they charged $104 for install. does this sound right or did they charge too much?
- RaymonExplorerChanged the oil on the MH engine and also on the Onan generator. Also, installed separate thermostat for the furnace. Originally, the furnace and AC worked off the same remote control thermostat. The remote control thermostat was very erratic when using the furnace; seems to work better when using the AC. Hopefully, the separate furnace thermostat will give better temperature control when using the furnace.
- Jtroop1ExplorerThe Dually Valve stems from Borg Tire arrived yesterday. Took the rig down to the shop to have them installed. Life just got a little easier!
- johnbhicksExplorerInstalled a new deep-cycle house battery to replace the two-year-old NeverStart and figured out where I could put several more batteries.
Yesterday I started slopping on POR-15. Lessons learned: the stuff will penetrate a latex glove, the stuff doesn't come off skin or hair, and a cheapo foam brush isn't worth messing with. At least the silver POR-15 matches my hair color. :R - Mike_and_PaulaExplorer

Replaced the 1-1/2" fill and 3/4" vent hoses on the gas filler. I literally have never been dirtier. The fill hose was detiorating from the outside in. Odd, but the black crackly stuff came off as black dust, much of which fell on my head. I went inside to wash away the raccoon look. I checked in the mirror, saw I had most of the black off and went to rinse. Must have caught a lot of it in my hair. Looked again and I was a mime in black.

ike, is your compressor a "factory" type - axial like FS6 and other Nippons? Our 84 Holiday had "dealer air" with a York, also retrofitted to 134. Cold! But a drain on HP, even with the 460. Compressor didn't slow us down but cost nearly an MPG to run.
Nope for got to add that to the list.
"New sandon compressor" - BerticusExplorerTook off the BD exhaust brake as the gate in the brake froze open. Sent it in to BD and waiting for a call to see if they can rebuild it. Right now the beast is layed up in the driveway till we get the part back in her.
Happy Easter to everyone, Robert - HondaCamperExplorerNot all today, but over the last two weeks.....Scraped and eternabond on the roof to fix PO's leaks. Replaced engine water pump(did you know every accesory bolds to the water pump on an 84 350?). Replaced battery isolator, still trying to figure out some jerry rigged wiring done by the PO. Did a complete rear brake job. Started removing the OM smog system. Replaced all clearence lights to stop/prevent leaks. Cleaned the interior. I got the new 12v water pump today, but have yet to start on the house water system.
Hopefully I get everything major done in time to take the old girl on our maden voyage this weekend. I know DW will be happy to start using it and stop spending money on rehab!!!lol - j-dExplorer IIReplaced the 1-1/2" fill and 3/4" vent hoses on the gas filler. I literally have never been dirtier. - Mike_and_PaulaExplorerI know not the typical DYI project but….
Retrofitted the engine AC to R-134 with:
All new custom made barrier hoses
New seals
Flushed evap. and condenser
New Receiver/ Dryer
PAG oil
The end result was a cycling a/c compressor at 43-50 degrees……
