- jeff92804ExplorerHaving carpet and vinyl replaced in main livingroom and bathroom with all new vinyl and having steps retreaded. Having day night shades put in. Getting a couple delamination spots fixed. Replacing converter. Made new tv mounts so they swivel and have a place for DVD player with hidden wires. Completing swivel passenger seat install. (I had to raise the seat a couple more inches to make it swivel 180.) Replacing my dogs chair with an ottoman that we can store snacks and drinks inside. Bought a new GPS. Moving the Dinghy electrical plug in from the hitch to the full length mudflap to make it easier to connect. Rotated back of dinette bench that had a mark on it, so mark was beneath jacknife couch. (I had to split the paneling from the frame and reglue after rotating. Bought a new screen door shade to install. And lots of other little things. Also took it to ford and had complete tune up and fuel system clean, full fluid changes, filter changes, front end alignment, new rotors and brakes and 1 belt and many hoses changed. I am calling this Phase 1. Phase 2 will be in the winter and will be some new couches and table setup among other things. I have a few more things to do in "Phase 1" before labor day trip. It has been a busy summer!

Guess what this blind boy did yo his RV...
Read a post on Roadtreking.com about doing a lube job on the Chevy steering linkages. Here
I have never done one in my life, but his pics and description were so clear that I got under and felt (not looked) for 11 zerks and found them. I am guessing nobody has ever lubed them, so I went and bought my 1st grease gun (a large trigger type from WM) and tube of grease, figured out which end went where and put it together, and I did it. Feels good to finally complete a RV project w/ success.
Anybody else do this?
Are there any zerks on driveshaft U joints? Are those two U joints on the steering column above the steering arm (pitman arm, I think it is called also)? I sprayed 'em w/ silicone/ - EastwacamperExplorerTook it to dealer for repair, also asked them to wash it and do something or other on the roof, protectorant.
