- OldRadiosExplorerIn expatiation of spring within the next six months I ordered a 24" Samsung HD TV for the bedroom. Has a 120 Volt AC to 14 Volt DC power brick so I will run tests on it to see what DC voltage/current the brick actually supplies the TV under load. I hope 12-13 VDC will be OK so I can run it off the AC or batteries if I choose. Will post the results when it arrives and I test it.
It looks like all the smaller Samsung HD TVs up to 24" have the 120V/14V power brick. - pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
Purchased a Magnum 3012 inverter and the remote control for it. I won't be able to install it until June. - OldRadiosExplorerMy Ford Wiring Diagrams for 2005 E Series came in today. It's got wiring diagrams and drawings for every electrical component, wire, and connector in the cab, dash, engine compartment, and chassis. $10 bucks on ebay. Worth every penny.
Here's some examples:

Once you see the connector number in the diagram you can go to the connector section and it shows you every pin and what's on it. - fireman93514ExplorerI ordered enough led lights to change over the whole rig. I think a dry camping trip is now needed to check it out. We are thinking Death Valley as a good option.
- pianotunaNomad IIIHi all,
Hung up on which pure sine wave inverter to jump to getting. I want around 3000 watts. - quietjakeExplorerI 'exercised' my Onan 4K for a while today, and talked with my electrician friend about some home-power issues.
Still trying to figure out how to run the software remote stuff for the TV.
Even after hiring the electronic shop guy to give me a run-thru.
Problem here with 'no signal' as we are in a bit of a electronic hole, & I'm not wanting to hook up the cable to the RV. - OldRadiosExplorerI have lots of things I want to do to mine still but it's 14 degrees here also. Got a couple things done last week but now the weather man says it's going to be cold and below average temps for at least the next four weeks.
This has been a pretty crappy winter and looks like it's not ending anytime soon. Having a new camper with a cover over it sitting in the driveway covered with snow does not make it any easier. - woodworker414ExplorerGood morning teetah, yep, know the feeling, SO READY FOR SPRING,WANTING TO GO CAMPING. We got a dusting of snow last nigt. Its 12 degrees with a strong breeze, but at least its bright and sunny. Just will have to look out the window at the C and dream of warmer days. First camping trip is April 10-13. YYYYEEEEEHHHHHAAAAAA
Safe Travels
Bill - teetahExplorerNot a doggone thing... been cold and sometimes snowing too, intermittently. I'm so ready for spring. I want to go camping!!
- HandbasketExplorerLet's see... in the past to weeks, I've 'invented' a rather ugly hood/muffler for the Tiger's noisy direct-vented (no ductwork) furnace. Just for temporary use at night, it dropped noise in the bunk by almost 1/2 when running. Then I relocated the thermostat to within reach from the bunk... much better. I like to sleep cold, but hate to get up in the cold.
Then I drove it down to the Brevard NC area. Walked to one waterfall at DuPont State Forest. The trails were still too icy to go to the others. Spent a pleasant night in almost-empty Davidson River NFS CG, woke to a violent t-storm, then came home. Took it to a club stargaze Friday night (_great_ skies), downtown curb camping Saturday all day, and again for solo observing Sunday night. Dimly but definitely saw a fading supernova 12 million light years away in M82 (SN2014J).
Jim, "Today is the first day of the rest of your week."
