Went out to storage, ran the genny under load, ran the engine a while, shoveled another 2 or so feet of snow from the roof, and lamented our choice to live in New England.
Know how ya feel!
It stays shoveled out, because I know one of these days I'll snap & head for Key West! :E

- pianotunaNomad IIIPlugged in to 50 amp with my break out box. Turned on all the electric heaters and the fridge. Drawing 5300 watt continuous. After nearly 3 years I had to replace the AA batteries in my watt meter. I'm gratified that it uses so little battery power.
Temperature outside is 4.4 C (39.9 F). Heat has been on for about one hour and RV is at 18.8 C (65.8 f). - pianotunaNomad IIIPicked my home up from storage--heading for a campground. I hope it warms up soon so I can get back to urban docking.
- DaHoseExplorerFixed my too short and falling down dump hose storage area. The storage compartment is a flap door with a tube that holds the hose under the coach. Turns out that 4" dryer ducting (the heavier "crinkle" kind) is the perfect replacement. It can curve a little which let me take off the remainder of what was there and put on a longer piece that lets me keep 20 ft. of dump line ready to go.
Jose - JAXFLExplorerChanged the oil/filters in the generator. Started to be sure all was good,...not. Had fuel straying out of the carburetor and all over the inside compartment. Got it stopped and pulled the whole carburetor out to clean it...not. you cannot get to the inside parts of it... it is a Nikki and is vacuumed sealed. Ordered a new one.
