- ericsmith32ExplorerPicked up some grease on the way home.. the big grease gun dried up and fell apart so sticking with 3oz tubes from now on. Regreased every point in the front I could find, at least 10 but may of been more. About 3 years and 15k way overdue. Changed the oil in the generator. Been about 3 years and 50 hours way overdue. Whoever put the oil filler spot next to the start button needs to FIRED! Let me tell you that makes quite a mess.
- ericsmith32ExplorerClean up time.. did some casino camping this weekend. Not a big gambler but fun to hit the casino's couple time a year. Interesting and weird people you may see. Stopped by the A-Z in Alma and picked up some quick connect and repair compression fittings. All of my hose ends have issue's it seems. http://www.lrnelson.com/products/hose-repair-2/compression-fit/ .. It's the only place I can find that has them. I've never use another in my lifetime if I have any say!
- KristinUExplorerDH finally chased down the heat shield rattle that two different repair shops couldn't find, and I failed as well. He gets the prize! Took a nice quiet test drive around town to confirm it, I'm thrilled!
- Mich_FExplorerI removed the spare tire from the neat rack, between the frame rails on my 31C, which I am selling. That was lots of fun, I realized after the fact that the rack possibly hasn't been touched in about 12 years. The outside rear tire has a bad slice/gouge in it, so I thought I would put the spare in its place. Of course just to make things more interesting the tire with the slice is on an aluminum rim, while the spare naturally is on a steel rim. I got the spare out and it still had the label on the tread, so its obviously never been used. Of course after checking the tire, I found that it was made in 2003. So I have a never been used 12 year old tire. :S
- Desert_CaptainExplorer IIIGot the coach in to complete the cosmetic side of the previous fiberglass repair. They did a paint match today, sanded out the surrounding area, repainted and applied some clear coat. It needs to dry/set up for a couple of days and then I will buff it out with some polishing compound. I'll post before and after pics when its done.
:C - ronfishermanModeratorMotorhome is winterized, oil & filter changed, fuel filter changed, chassis lubed and antifreeze drained flushed and refilled. Been a busy day.
- bob_and_donnaExplorerWent to start and run the gen set, would not start. Ran the coach batteries down. took the bowl off the gen and the trash in the bowl looked like pollen. cleaned it out and started fine. I always use gas stabilizer in my fuel every fill up and there's a filter before the carb. figure the filter is breaking down. then looked at the 2 6 volt batteries and they were boiled out. filled them up and ran the motor to charge them up.
- ericsmith32ExplorerA bit of green tint to the blackness must be the factory fill. After 39k and 12 years it was time. It was uneventful to say the least. I spray PB blaster on it every couple days for the last week. You can access the bleeders without removing the tires. Used around 2 qts.. thought I'd need the gallon! See what difference there is next week going to Fort Smith. I did notice a bit of fade on the last trip.
