How did you forecast the winter weather so well? I winterized mine almost 2 months ago. :h
I didn't. I've had the water system winterized for a good while, and merely procrastinated some on the gas and oil duty, and was fortunate enough to get away with it and look like a genius. It did help too that there hasn't been any impending massive snowstorms, so I wasn't too worried about having to go through salty and slushy roads.
As a matter of fact, I have had the water system winterized for several weeks, and then dewinterized earlier this month to travel for the funeral of a friend who passed away unexpectedly, and then re-winterized it afterwards. I'm getting plenty of practice blowing water out of the pipes.... - tenbearExplorer

I also bought a $20 head unit last night to upgrade the original dash radio. I'll lose the ability to play cassette tapes and to receive AM radio stations, but gain the ability to stream audio via bluetooth (and act as a speakerphone), play MP3s from SD cards and USB devices, and plug in an aux in cable without the use of a cassette adapter. I'll also have a little remote control. - ericsmith32ExplorerStarted to work on plans to redo the bedroom. Going to pull out the bed and put 2 jack knife sofa's instead. That way the children can be back there and irritate themselves and not us in process. At night the sofa's can be folded down for bed purposes, have to figure out the gap and get a good pad for it. Hard to get around the bed the way it is.
Used sofa's look to be less than $200 and the frame underneath less than $50. The bottom cabinets if they can be removed just turn them and put on opposite sides. The sofa will fit perfect after that. Not sure on the seat belts and anchoring, the sofa itself just zip-its should hold until the floor gives. The electrical pieces will mount under the drivers side sofa. Eventually would like to shove 2-12v agm's under that side, and a 20-40 gallon freshwater on the other. No more winterizing!
Going to be a big project but overall make the RV more usable. - tenbearExplorer

Since winter has come to southern Arizona with lows breaking into the upper 20's I "Winterized" it, Arizona style....
Opened all of the drain valves and emptied the water tank, water heater, outdoor shower handset and then added pink RV anti freeze to the sinks and shower drains. Added the rest to the black and gray tanks as there is only a gallon or two off water in each.
Lastly.... I restocked the bar. :B
Should be good to go until spring.

:C - goreds2ExplorerThe weather was so warm in Ohio last Saturday, we took the girlfriend's CLASS C from the storage unit to the nearest casino and stayed overnight needing no heat source! Had a great time.
- TyroneandGladysExplorerTook it for emission testing and she passed with flying colors.
- goreds2ExplorerGirlfriend now has her Class C in storage.

- CalisdadExplorerMy furnace quit. A quick glance at Youtube gave me the courage to tear into it and voila! Dang mud daubers had built a nest right on the gas orifice. Cost= $0 Time spent 3 hours (the exhaust manifold was rusted in place.)
