- crawfordExplorercleaning it up to sell got a 35 foot Georgetown triple slide much more room when you camp .
- Horizon170ExplorerI finally got around to installing my automatic transfer switch.
very tight getting it inside the door but plenty of room once installed for the Shore line and other adapters.
I checked everything out with my Red Neck Frequency counter and the Generator was dead on 60 cycles and 120 Volts and the House power was 60 cycles also but only 118/119 volts. The time for the Generator to kick in after cranking was 40 seconds as listed in the instructions.
Well worth the 80 bucks and 2 hours labor for me.
Now to get rid of the dinette and install lift recliner and 1/2 desk. - regis101ExplorerOh how evil. I like it.
Today I did a thin cover coat with roof sealer. The seams were taped with the aluminum backed sticky black tape prior. Roof is in good shape. The coating was more for reflection than sealing. - Chris_B_in_MDExplorerStuck an authentic Ford "Hybrid" name plate below the E450 plate on the front fenders for fun. Now I can park next to the Prius'................or on top of them :-o)
I've got a cord that plugs in too.
Should get a double take or two on the road & @ the campgrounds. - regis101ExplorerPower washed eight plus years of crud from the roof to make ready for a roof coating sealer. Seams and roof penetrations were seal taped earlier this season.
Had to power wash the rest of the vehicle due to run off, dirt and dead paint. Came out ok. - OldRadiosExplorer

New enclosed trailer for the Harleys finally arrived. Now the're out of the weather, dirt and stones kicked up by the RV from the road, and out of site when we're off doing something else. I'll sleep better. - DrewEExplorer IIII installed Centramatic wheel balancers today.
On my previous camping trip, I noticed that I had developed an out-of-balance wheel somehow. It was noticeable but not too bad at 65 mph, but upon hitting the 70 mph speed limit in Pennsylvania...wowzers! That seems to be about the resonant frequency of the suspension.
During installation, I think I also found the cause of the imbalance. I discovered the mangled, decomposing remains of a bird (!) inside the inner passenger dually wheel. Apparently I need to add "check wheels for birds" to my pre-departure checklist.
Things were much better on the test drive after installation and corpse removal. It took me a little over two hours of quality time with a breaker bar, wheel chocks, bottle jack, and torque wrench to put them on. - ericsmith32ExplorerWorked a bunch on Sunday after the trip to New Orleans.. it was a mess. Fixed the corner where I hit the post. Took a magic eraser to every spot the wash didn't take care of. Took the housing off and cleaned the AC, talk about brittle. I bet it had never been cleaned but wasn't bad. That's just 4 things out of a page to do.. and the wife's already talking about the next trip. I was going to take a couple month break.
- Wayne67vertExplorerI bought this 2002 Holiday Rambler 4 month ago. It had sat for 5 years after the PO got sick and then passed away. I have fixed or replaced almost everything from the front bumper to the rear bumper (I did replace the rear bumper) and from the A/C unit to the gas tank and everything in between.
We had it out 2 weeks ago for a quick 4 day trip and everything works great.
We made a punch list for additional needs.
Today we put blackout linings on the over cab curtains and put solar film on all the windows.
Wayne - woodworker414ExplorerBought a new bbq grill. A Cuisinart. Kinda neat. Can be used as a table top grill, or extend the legs to use as a stand alone grill.
The problem, its to tall to go into the storage compartment that I want it go into. I thought I wouls drill the pin out of the pivot of the hinge and put a pin back with a cotter key through it so it would not fall out. I looked at the hinge and to see what i needed to do, and the pin is already made to pull out. The pin has a hairpin type cotter pin through it. Kinda of small. Drop in once in the grass and its a goner. So I put a short piece of sash chain on it. The cotter pin will not come off the chain. So now I have to lose both the chain and pin together.
Now I can take the cover off and turn it upside down and nest it into the bottom and place the grill in the lid and it will store in the compartment I want it in. Wish all projects would go this easy
