- BJeanExplorerCold, raining, and very windy here. Wanted to leave today to go south but our stick ref. went out and we are waiting to get it fixed. Just went out and petted her.
- snowdanceExplorerTime to put it up for a few months. Did the pink stuff a couple weeks ago. Took it out of the rear driveway and fueled it and ran the Generator a while. Put it in the front of the house and unhooked the batterys, opened every door ect inside. Opened the awnings to be sure they were dry and closed them. Installed the cover. Was going to wait untill later when my wife could help. Usaly takes us about 15 to 20 min. Did it alone in 30 min. But have done it a few times so know the drill.
Sad to look out of the living room window and see it covered. But it is on cement so can pack the front wheel bearings and check the brakes, Drop the drive shaft and check the U-joints and center carrier bearing. Also have some inside stuff to do. Our winters are not to bad so will have lots of nice days to work. Snow should be off the passes by March and with any luck all my work will be done. Lots planned for next year. Yellowstone again, Glacier National. Mt Rushmore, Oregon coast ect. OH ya lots of fishing as we have 21 lakes and 8 rivers with in 80 miles of the house. The rivers include the Rouge, Klamath, Scott, Applegate, Salmon, Sac. Mc Cloud and Trinity with endless streams to fish. More lakes than I can remember. - Mile-High-EndurExplorerPut on new slide out awnings this weekend. A 2 man job and glad it's done.
Jeff - thebeach300Explorerput in a new carbon monoxide alarm today, going camping this weekend then putting it away for the winter.
- EMD360ExplorerStupid RV tricks--ran the water pump all night by accident--the water tank was empty! I picked it up late Saturday and turned on the power and didn't hear the darned pump. In the morning I thought, what is that sound? I thought it was the converter humming away. But after I dragged everything out of the closet I realized it was the pump. Yikes! Luckily after filling the fresh water tank, the pump worked just fine. By the way the accumulator has 27# of pressure in it. I could not tell what it should have though, directions said it should be set to the turn on pressure of the pump, which of course the Shurflo pump directions did not cite. Accumulator said most pumps turn on at 30# though--wonder if 27 is close enough.
- W4MBGExplorerspent the day driving back from Luray, VA. spent last night camping at Country Waye RV park. very nice place, and great owners. the RV did very well. just had to adjust the genny voltage down a bit and all was perfect.
