- hlenobleExplorerFinished replacing all of the curtains/mini blinds with new ones, except for the cab over area. Still need to fix one leak over the bedroom where the previous owner bolted through the roof to mount a TV. Also need to install a wall bracket for the 19" LCD TV/DVD player.
- RoadfrogExplorerInstalled auxilliary backup lights - they're just halogen driving lights that I wired to the reverse switch and mounted near the hitch.
- KamphikerExplorer2 week countdown until 1 week trip to Smoky Mountains for spring break. So I'm doing the gotta get done stuff.
*Washed exterior and waxed fiberglass roof
*Added a 12 volt power connection for my wifes CPAP
*Wife made slip covers for dinning booth cusions and lounge chair
*Cut a piece of gray Diamond plate matting to protect the front carpet
*drove to propane station and filled tank
*checked all the chassis things(tires, fluids, batteries etc.) - AstroRig57ExplorerMight not sound like much but a big improvement to me.
I have metal valve stems on the duals (not extensions) that protrude through the openings in the wheels and Versa-Liner wheel simulators. The ones from the outer dual have always gotten "hung up" when you try to remove the wheel liner. You had to "hold your tongue just right" and bend the opening slightly to get the wheel liner off.
Today, I used a dremel tool to gently grind the the wheel liner making the inside edge of the hole adjacent to the valve stem slightly "oblong". I then used a dremel polishing wheel to smooth the edge. I probably removed less than a 1/4" of material, at the deepest point, but the difference it made in easing the removal and installation of the liners is amazing. - hlenobleExplorerUsed Eternabond on all of the roof seams. Tomorrow it's re-sealing the marker lights, and then I should be set with the exterior. This is an old unit that I bought about 6 weeks ago. It's dry inside but I can see evidence of some slight past damage so I'm taking precautions. Next up is new mini blinds.
It's only 25 days until I take the first trip with it. I'm heading to Great Lakes, IL for my son's graduation from Navy boot camp.
