- Navy_SmokerExplorerSanitized the water system and started to provision it for a 10 day trip starting this Sunday.
- applegaterExplorerRemoved coach batteries, cleaned them, filled them, cleaned bay and slide and reinstalled. Try to do that e Rey three months or so.
- 62DokaExplorerWe took it out for a Sunday drive.
- pianotunaNomad IIIProvisioned it for the trip.
- snowdanceExplorerChanged the rear spring shackles and new bushings. Ran some rough roads last couple years and rear spring bushings were shot. Find it wanders much less. Think the old bushings may have let the rear end move enough to give it some rear steer. Never thought of that. Changed oil and filter, installed a new bath room vent fan. Need to get the antifreeze out of the water tank and lines and freshen the tank and run a load test on the house batterys. We are going camping for a few days this weekend.. We drove the rig about a hundred miles yesterday and it ran and drove better than ever even on our old rutted rough roads..
- rcase13ExplorerJust got it back from shop. It was in for two weeks to get the slide out wiper seal replaced. They did a good job it looks factory. The original seal had a tear from the factory. It was all done under warranty.
Now I need to get it all ready for our big trip to DC next week. I need to get the bedroom TV mounted and install the last of the tire valve extensions. Really looking forward to DC. Son is a history buff. We will be museum hopping! - pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
Used it on the first RV and business trip of the year. - gearhead143ExplorerIts been a long weekend. Yesterday, packed wheel bearings (Hydrotex Pink), changed oil (Mobile 1 & MotorCraft filter), Fuel filter, Belt, PCV valve, Serviced K&N, Trans flush & filter ( REDLINE), Serviced Diff (REDLINE), checked all other fluids including slideout and leveling fluids, tire pressures & air bags, and replaced one mud flap.
Today, Gave it the first wash of the year, and was easy since I buffed the compete coach including the roof at the end of last season, Check LP system with manometer no leaks, opened accesses to Frig, water heater, & furnace cleaned and blew out dust and webs. Leveled coach and fired up all appliances and every thing works. Installed new shower head (Oxygenics) not to sure about it as it didn't seem to have as much pressure as my old one @ 40PSI water pressure.
Will be loading up the food and beverages Wednesday and headed to Beverly Beach Oregon on Thursday for four days to spend some quality time with the kids and Grand kids. Hopefully all my maintenance pays off for a trouble free trip.:) Time for a cold one and call it a day. - pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
Arranged to have it put in the shop overnight--for pick up on Saturday--that way the snow and ice will melt off it.
