- 87mobiletraveleExplorerHello, put air bags,(air springs, what Firestone calls them)on my old 87 E-350 27' class C yesterday.I guess some units come with them but mine didn't,I haven't drove it yet but I think it will help, the back of the old girl was sagging and I pull a small trailer with it some times.I have alreay beefed up the frame behind the rear-end because all it had was 2x4 tubing.I put some 4" channel from the end of the frame to the hitch with cross members,(adding more weight that I didn't need)but it needed it. I took pic's of the stuff I did,I have to work on getting them posted.that's all for now.George

Nice install. I have a LED light on a goose neck. I bought 2 off EBAY. Used one of them last year. LED's kept dying thought the year. Until there was only 3 of 12 working. Replaced it with the spare one. It has lost 3 of it's LEDs already. Using your info, ordered the goose-neck and coupling to take one of the same lights that you have and make it into a goose neck. There are 6 of them in our MH.
Thanks for the info.
How about posting this mod in Do It Yourself Modifications and Upgrades (DIY) - wxtoadExplorerInstalled a custom-tailored 24" brass goose-neck reading lamp, complete with LED bulb. All interior lights are now LED's.
Ted H. - snowdanceExplorerThose are nice rigs. Sure you will love it. Lots more room.
The company I worked for gave us several class A's to use over the years. We loved them. But we are back country campers. And they are just to high and long. But loved them out on the highway. I am sure you will miss the old Class C from time to time. - NavyChapsExplorer
