- HandbasketExplorerToday is the last day in business for my favorite local bookstore & coffeeshop, another victim of the economy. I'm just loosing a nearby comfortable & friendly afternoon hangout, but they're loosing their jobs at a bad time.
So yesterday afternoon one of the baristas and I connived to have an impromptu taco party out in the parking lot. I already had a big batch of ground turkey, bean, corn, & onion taco filling made up at home. A quick run to the grocery store to round out supplies, and I was able to feed eight employees and myself out of my little kitchen. There were four + me inside while I was making tacos... no mean feat when you consider that my interior is a bit smaller than most class B's.... ;).
My quiet little Onan ran the whole time to power the microwave. Coincidentally, there's been a local controversy about allowing food trucks downtown here that's just been resolved. One of the sticking points was that some of them have loud open-frame generators.

OK, Snowdance, where are the photos or did I miss them?
So busy I did not think about photos. Its about 3:30 am and we are putting the last stuff in now. But will get a few pics between trips and post some.
I am an old construction worker. Always had to get up early in the morning. Retired years ago and threw away the alarm clock. Still wake up about 3 or 4. So much for sleeping in. Guess I am just a morning person. - oldtrucker63ExplorerYes would love to see the photos, You all have a safe trip and enjoy.
- EMD360ExplorerOK, Snowdance, where are the photos or did I miss them? I've done nothin' since we enjoyed the family last weekend. Have a list a mile long though.
- snowdanceExplorerHooked it up and got every thing checked out and going. Loading the fridge and getting things we need for our trip South. Leaving in the morning. Should be just over a 2000 mile tirp. Then will be home for just over a week and leaving for another trip. Have no clue where as we have not talked about it yet.
When we got our motorhome was done in green inside Carpet ect. We redid it all in brown tones. Got every thing in today and was in a bit of shock that it looked so great. Kind of nice when some thing comes out well. - thebeach300Explorertook out the old 25in. tv and got everything ready to install new flat screen tv. hope it gets here before i leave on trip this weekend.
- snowdanceExplorerFilled the propane tank, Washed the salt and bugs off from our coast trip. Washed the bedding and went thru and checked canned goods, sugar,Paper towels, soaps, TP, ect to be sure every thing we normaly take is there. Started loading for our next trip leaving next Sat for Boom town Nv. Then over to Hanford Ca and then Carmel Ca. Time to go visit family.
My wife says she is driving to Boom town. She says if she lets me get behind the wheel we will end up some place in Washington or Montana. Truth is shes right. Never like these family trips. - ronfishermanModeratorWashed the roof and put a coat of Protect-all on it. Between rain storms. Finished washing rest of MH.
Today its the front cap. Hope the rain hold off. - Cloots6ExplorerWashed the roof. Tomorrow the rest.
- rehoppeExplorerWell I didn't do it, but I had the front end aligned on the Jayco. Drives a bit better now that it's towed in, instead of towed out. Added a bit of camber as well. Makes the worn shocks more noticeable now though. More stuff to be done.
