- bill257ExplorerI finished washing and waxing/polishing the Coach.I also cleaned the roof using first RV Roof cleaner and then applying Protect All on the roof.I got both of these products from Walmart RV section.
- okeehandymanExplorerWashed all the bugs off the cab over and listed it on RVtrader for sale with all the other class c's today! Sorry to let it go but just had to!
- snowdanceExplorerGot back from our trip. Started unloading every thing that will freeze. Will turn it around later today and hook up the lines and wash the holding tanks out. Nice to have full hookups here at the house.
We will still use the motorhome for a while longer but we do get freezing nights now so will drain water tank, blow out the water lines and drain water heater. Gosh, what a short summer. - ReplantExplorerCleaned off the excess butyl sealant from around the large window we removed and resealed yesterday. Four more big windows to go and a few small ones.
Yesterday I also installed 5 LED clearance lamps on the cab-over. They look great. It was a pleasure to throw the weather beaten old ones into the garbage.
Tomorrow the Winegard antenna UHF upgrade arrives and now I have to figure out how to stop it from hitting the A/C shroud. :S - thebeach300Explorerwashed the roof and treated it then washed the mh looks pretty good, one last trip nov 4,5,6 and then pickle it for the winter.
- BJeanExplorerChanged engine oil and filter, then the transmission oil and filter, then finally changed the anti freeze. Just getting ready to take off for the South in about 3 weeks.
- bukhrnNomadTurned the fridge on yesterday, started packing it up for a 4 day trip to The Blue Ridge Parkway Sunday.:B
- snowdanceExplorerWe are getting ready for another trip. Our last trip ended a week and a half ago. Went from Boom Town Nv. across 80 to I-5 and south on the worst highways I have ever driven in 40 years of travel. The last 100 miles of our trip home I started to notice we had a tire hopping. Stopped several times but could find nothing.
This morning I checked tire pressures and notice the right front down a bit and its a near new tire . Found a leak at the valve stem. So ran it down to the tire shop to have them fix it. Also told the fellow working on them I had a hopper.
He fixed the right front. Rebalanced it and also pulled the other front and balanced it. Nothing bad enough for what I was feeling so we both went to the rear. We both saw the outside drivers side rear had a raised area in the center of the tread. 4 new rear tires will be here in the morning. Will be at the shop at 7:30 am to have them installed. Old tires are 3 years old and almost no wear. Really think on those bad roads I hit some thing that did the tire in. - oldtrucker63ExplorerTop of the line stereo system there buddy, I need to do the same to my old dodge. Great choice.
- MrsQ2UExplorerInstalled the house stereo system - Bose speakers, USB input - totally rocks the C.
Today I installed a new stereo for the cab. LOVE IT! AM/FM/CD, which will all hardly ever get used, but it has Bluetooth built in, so the C has hands free calling now! Also has a USB input in the front so that we can play music or audio books from our iPhones or even a thumb drive.
I bought the unit from Crutchfield. Frankly, the same one sells on Amazon for a few bucks less, but you can not beat the customer service and tech support at Crutchfield. Worth every extra penny.
This is the one I installed.
The surprise of the day was that all of the factory speakers wired to the front stereo work and actually sound pretty darn good!
I also finished scrapping the incredibly ugly shower surround mess. We bought an Extend-A-Shower and DH cut the middle piece and extended the extend-a-shower to fit. He cut a piece from the small half of a brushed nickel shower curtain rod from Lowe's - about $10 - and used that to add about 6 inches so that it fits our large corner shower. I'll install it tomorrow.
Tomorrow is my last MH work day before our first big trip. Wish me luck! Still lots to do! When we sold our 15 year old pop-up last month, it was in better than new condition and was clean enough to perform surgery. For some reason, I expected that we would receive our Class C in the same condition. Was I ever wrong!!
