- FroghairExplorerI took our '96 Winnebago Minnie to Camping World in Bakersfield ca. to have the furnace and water heater serviced and as ussual did some shopping.
- oldtrucker63ExplorerWe have had a little snow but most all winter so far has been in the 40's and even 50's Today should make it up to about 55 Yes it has been a real strange winter around East Kentucky too.
- summerhouseExplorerWent out with a ladder and cleared alot of the snow off Summerhouse. Sun came out in the afternoon and took care of nearly all the rest.
What an odd winter we are having so far.
It looks so cold and lonely out there..... - snowdanceExplorerIt warmed to the mid-50s and sunny so lifted the sides on the MH cover and hooked up the batterys. Fired the Generator up. It started on the 2nd bump on the starter. Ran it with a load for about an hour and shut it down. Then fired the MH engine. Started first bump. Let it run up to temp and until the exhaust was dry while I checked the tires. Shut it down and unhooked the batterys. Put the Cover back down and zipped it up. Now I am sad. Just about 4 or 5 weeks of winter left for us. So with any luck next time it will be uncovered and we will be looking to go some place. As soon as we get warmer spell I plan to repack the front wheel bearings and perhaps replace the front brake pads..
- ronfishermanModeratorDrove down 400 miles of the Natchez Trace. 2 lane park road with no stop signs or traffic lights. 50 mph is a pleasure after a few 100 miles of the Interstates.
- EMD360ExplorerTook the pilot and safety valve assembly out of the oven and cleaned it up, hoping it would magically work again.

No such luck. Ordered a new safety valve. Getting ready for a trip in mid-January, can't wait! - thebeach300Explorerme and the wife got the tarp on today cold and windy but we got it done, tomorrow rain and wind hope it stays on.already made res. for next year.

Great Ideal
All I've done so far is mow the lawn. Today is a day of rest after doing a leak test and giving half of the rig 4 coats of RMP3 yesterday.
PaulJ2 posted a great idea for doing a leak test if you have a FanTastic fan and it worked better than I expected. The procedure is to close up the rig as much as possible. Close all windows, vents and put the vehicle A/C control on re-circulate. Set the FanTastic fan on intake at high speed. I gave it some time to build up pressure and then washed the whole RV with a strong solution of Dawn. It even blew bubbles out of the clearance lamp weep holes.
