- pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
Looks like there was more damage from the reverse polarity than I thought. One of the solar panel switches (for the OEM bank) had a fuse--good thing too--it actually melted the fuse holder--so I've replaced that, and have a spare fuse. - EastwacamperExplorerGot on the roof and cleaned it with Borax and Dawn using a long handled brush. Inspected, wish for a Fantastic vent fan, need to replace a vent cover. Washed the sides using a long handled imitation Swiffer which has microfiber spaghetti-like appendages. Sure goes faster with one of those wide cleaners. Used RainX wash and wax and water. I have 303 but that will have to wait a few days. Started up the engine, all seems well. Still need to run the awning out and clean it. Then load and go.
- pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
Replaced the Reverse Polarity fuse with the proper amperage. - Roy_LynneExplorer III patted her behind and promised we'd be going out real soon
- TothillExplorerThis weekend we replace the bathroom fan motor and blades.
Teen aged son and I washed the exterior. We will do the roof after work tomorrow, then give the sides one last scrub.
Next we will be waxing with ZEP. We picked up a gallon jug today. If the weather is good we will start waxing after work on Tuesday.
After that all I need to do is wax the floors inside and pack up.
We keep food, linen and clothes in Mobi so we are ready to go at a moments notice. - magik235ExplorerI removed the stick on wide angle mirrors then mounted separate wide angle mirrors below the regular mirrors. The field of vision is greatly improved. Next I replaced the license plate lamp.

Picked up my little class c in Ellensburg WA and drove
it home to the mountains, about 45 miles.
I managed 65mph in windy, winding conditions and made it home in
one piece. First time for me as husband died a year ago and
up until today I was afraid to go get it out of storage.
WooHoo...I'll never stay home now. Thanks to all who post such
valuable lessons, warnings and inf. Much appreciated!!
YOu go Lady, have a great time and keep us posted.
Bill - woodworker414ExplorerWell it wasn't done today. To hot to work outside for an old gggeeeezzzzeerrr, I used to as a carpenter. Had my neighbor do the work a out of work mechanic due to a serious car wreck. So it took him quit awhile to get it done, but that is ok, we were not planning on going anywhere soon. Besides he has a wife, 3 children to feed. He replaced the water pump, new upper and lower raditor hoses, new thermostat and gasket, new serpentine belt, anti-freeze, new gas filter, new front disc brakes, changed the oil and filter in the engine, and the generator. So should be ready to roll. Now want to wash and wax it, and do a good cleaning inside, maybe go through some of the outside compartments and see if I really nedd to haul all that stuff.Need to cleant and condition the rubber roof also. Just fired up the furnace and water heater for maybe for 30 seconds to make sure no critters make a house on the pilot orifice. Ran the a/c works great. Need to put the awnig out and see if needs to cleaned.Lub the jacks and the electric steeps. Want to put a 12v outlet in the rear streetside storage compartment. Got enough to keep my busy for a few days. You all have a great MEMORIAL DAY.
bILL - pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
Added a 2nd hall effect ammeter. Unfortunately I forgot that the location I chose does not have the cables from the alternator going by--so I'll have to extend the cable on the Hall effect unit to get correct readings. - pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
Repaired the damage caused when a "technician" managed to hook up one battery with incorrect polarity. Damage was limited to a 355 amp fuse for the inverter.
