You need to check for the "slack" adjusters. Most newer rigs have auto adjust.
The air dryers may need more attention in areas with high humidity.
You may want to check the drums yearly for cracks. This can normally be done by going under the rig and do a visual check.
Locate the pressure relief valve if equipped and make sure it is not covered with road debris or mud.
