- kab449Explorer2014 CRV. Pulls great with around 7mpg.
I had a 15K Montana and a new Ford 6.7 Diesel to pull it and this setup is hands down better for traveling. The fifth wheel had more room inside and would be a better choice if you go and park for long periods of time. - dezolenExplorer

Thanks so much for some good info. dezolen, good to hear you have no regrets!
Good luck in your search. I was on the fence on whether to get a high end 5th wheel next or a motorhome. Never even considered a motorhome from what I saw that was affordable till we accidently stumbled upon the Tiffin 36LA. Glad we did. The 5th wheel was very comfortable but the Class A is total luxury in our opinion.
Ps sure is nice having a CRV to tour around rather than the HD gas hog pickup. - AllegroDNomad
- mena661ExplorerUnless you have a 16,000 lb GVWR gasser, tow rating will be 5000 lbs for the most part (some 18,000 lb gassers CAN tow 8000 lb).

- Passin_ThruExplorerSome MHs are rated as high as 10K. Depends on HP trans and differential + rating of hitch.
- dezolenExplorer36LA towing a 2012 Honda CRV. Don;t even know its there. Towing mileage is similar to towing 5th wheel. Seems 7-9 mpg is the norm.
All gas motorhomes are rated to tow 5000# from what I have run across.
We just moved from 5th wheel to the Tiffin 36LA. great choice no regrets. - AllegroDNomadSee sig and the Tiffinrvnetwork.com is a great resource.
