Without more context, it can mean several things.
The most common is when a builder buys what OE manufactures call "Cab Cut-Away". This is a van chassis with nothing but the cap portion and essential elements that are behind the cab - Like fuel tanks.
It is also used by motorhome builders to describe a completed shell with nothing inside it. They sell these for special application builders like traveling marketers and mobile offices.
If one of those doesn't fit, come back and try again.
Matt - That is a bare chassis. No body, just drive train

2019 Ford Stripped chassis
Perfect example=== Same for Freightliner and Spartan. The C-Bodys- just have the front cab where the driver and Passenger seats are mounted- MrWizardModeratori think 'bare chassis' is a better description
right off the factory line, build your own box or RV/bus etc..
stripped makes it sound like something has been removed
nothing has been removed, its a bare chassis not a completed truck
of course Ford/Mfg can label things anyway they want - Mile_HighExplorerBe fun to drive wouldn't it? delivering bare chassis pushers

I hope you understand that is NOT a real life video. It is NOT in the USA and is a Mercedes Chassis. While it is ON the hiway, they are not delivered like that in the USA. That is obviously a test drive by a Mercedes Employee. USA Class A chassis have no seats or dash equipment at all, they use special jump seats to drive the chassis into the chassis prep buildings at the OEM plants. Chassis are delivered in bulk and dropped off in a parking lot at the OEM plants. It IS a neat Video. Doug- Mile_HighExplorer

Doug - huntdoolyExplorerI looked at the link to the stripped chassis RV, and it didn't look any different than a regular Class A. Nothing looked to be missing!
