What is this antenna for???

2006 winnebago itasca class C...has the familiar black rubber "radio antenna" on the roof, but as every Ford econoline has, there is another silver antenna coming from the engine area.

What are these 2 antennas for? What's the difference? I only have the factory magnadyne radio (no sat) in the dash, and an outdoor radio as well.

thanks!

Not quite, Ibid is an abbreviation for "Ibidem" a Latin word which means "in the same place".

Right. My antenna is IN THE SAME PLACE. :P
  • My 2005 Itasca Class C has the same black rubber antenna on it's roof. It's the antenna for the outside entertainment center radio.

I loosend the bolt in the base of this antenna that allows it to be pivoted back to any angle, tipped the antenna back to about a 45 degree angle, and then retightened the bolt. I did this to protect it from being less damaged by tree limbs than if left sticking straight up at 90 degress as Winnebago installs them.

  • On my MH the black antenna is for outside radio. The one near engine is for dash radio.
