We have the winguard in motion mounted on ours. Pros: it's easy and when has line of sight works great with excellent reception. There is no easier set up. We live in MD and most of the NE highways have a lot of tress and cover. Heading west on the other side of PA things open up and it works great while driving. It does give you Sat TV while driving down the road that no other option will. (the kids dig it) Cons, in route it will drop at every underpass and wooded highways. (nothing you can get around while driving no matter what you have), and as the previous poster noted you are stuck with it's location if under tree cover. I will say that in the 4 trips we've taken in the past 2 months I have been only able to use it at a CG once because of tree cover at our sites. I got over it but if it's important something to consider.
All in all I like it but I do find myself wishing for an alternative with tree cover mainly because I am paying for something I can't use. There is always antenna backup but that's sketchy too and very limited. DVD's or sitting around talking is something to consider too.
So, portable and possibly a work around with tree cover when parked but no in motion and a manual set up to find a working spot, or in motion, no set up, and risk tree cover at the CG.
