Second that. We have 2 tv's and one receiver and run it through a splitter. Works fine. I hid the receiver in the cabinet and use an IR remote repeater and receiver located at each tv. Have Direct TV on ours. For 4.95/month for the receiver (added to our home account) no need to start/stop service when we go on a whim.
