About 1968 a buddy and I had joint ownership in a '57 Chev. The fuel pump died and we were broke. Rigged a two gallon container up and fed it into the carb. This was about the time that Shell was advertising how much farther you could go on there gas. We just told everyone we were part of the Shell mileage test.
