Ray, the weather is heating up for the next 10 days between 87* and 90*. I went golfing yesterday it was 86* it's suppose to get to 89* today. If I had your phone I would of liked to buy you lunch when I came thru Barstow the other day. I ended up pulling over in Dagget looking for Peggy Sue's I couldn't find the place ended up down the road at a Subway! Take Care, RayJ-Rooster wrote:
Left Washington State (Wet Side) last week, arrived at Lake Havasu City yesterday! Set up MH at the Beachcomber went golfing today!
How is the weather down at Havasu Rooster? Being thinking of taking my boat down there.
Peggy Sues is right on the corner of Daggett Rd and I-15. Right across from the Yermo Marine base.
From interstate forty it is probably about three miles where you got off.
I will be leaving to Laughlin Wednesday to meet with the club. Hope the weather is nice while I am there. I enjoy walking the board walk next to the river. Got free tickets to see Bret Michaels concert. - RayChezExplorer

Everybody that RV's should visit Quartzite at least one time. I was there ten years ago around January and both my wife and I were shocked to see so many motorhomes and trailers all over the place. We pulled into a roped off area and paid for a weeks stay. I had a quad on a trailer and it come in very handy to move around the area. It is something you will never forget.
And Las Vegas is like no other city in this country. We go down there at least once every two months. We really enjoy going to Vegas or Laughlin.
Have a safe trip. The Eagle is my favorite coach. They are well built. - PatStabExplorerDD and I have been going somewhere in the winter the last 3 years or so. She is 42 and mildly mentally challenged and LOVES to travel, I'm her mom and will soon be 68. My husband works overseas and is home only ever 8 weeks. He travels all the time so not really his idea of fun when home but he doesn't care if we do. He thought about retiring in August but a good 2 1/2 year contract came up in Africa and we decided he might as well take it. He is worrying about being bored when he retires!
This is our 3rd motorhome, 1st was an old class C, he did a lot of fixing, it was an 80's something I think. I didn't like driving it, couldn't see and just not what I wanted.
We sold it and got a 2006 Class C, Winnie, 29ft. It had a couple of slides was real nice but the wind and semis pushed me all over the road. He did all the modifications he could, trac bar, true steer, air bags, etc and just didn't help enough, still I racked up about 20k miles on it with toad. So we saw an old 92 American Eagle for sale and bought it, hubby said nothing will push this thing around and he is right. He said nothing he can't fix on it. We had to have a lot of routine maintenance done, as he didn't have time, and he has done more as it sat for several years before we bought it, but I have driven it 6k miles so far. Last winter we spent a month or so in Florida around Orlando seeing the sites. We have been to Florida so many times, decided not to this year. We have been to Vegas and Florida in motorhomes so I thought this year someplace different.
We relocated last fall and this spring back to southern Indiana, we have been gone for 30 years. We spent those years in Texas, good to be back home. So I'm thinking of heading down toward Houston, our house is for sale down there and I need to check on it, then going west on I 10 to Quartzite, Arizona, never been there and sounds really neat. I may try a more northern route on the way out if the weather looks good enough. Feel like I know some folks on other forums and will meet up with them and boondock for a couple of weeks. DD is sooo excited about the flea markets and things out there. Hubby was teasing me and said you know how many miles you are going to be driving? Yep I do, but I don't get in a hurry like he does. He is home for Christmas this year and won't leave till Jan 7th, so I'm thinking of taking off about the 9th, can be gone 8 weeks. He has been busy doing minor repairs, changing oil, filters, and checking everything. 2 new steer tires on last week and the back 4 about the 1st of Dec. Need to get my front leveler repacked and the transmission serviced before I take off, will take it to the shop for that as hubby is running out of time.
I have a toad and we also take our 18 year old kitty. There are no slides on one this old but we like it. Nice leather seats, hardwood in the kitchen/dining room, stand alone icemaker, w/d, finally had to replace the original on last years trip. Full bath with tub, DD likes that, ceramic in bathroom, 2 new flat screens. Those old Eagles are well built. I will have Coach Net in place again just in case and I also have a CC permit.
I hope all works out and we can take off then, as of right now that is the plan. We also might go on out to Vegas, its open, whatever strikes our fancy. Safe travels to everyone. - RayChezExplorer

- jsmartExplorerJust returned from a trip to Ocean Shores, WA. Stayed at the state campground just before Ocean Shores. Weather was wonderful, sunshine and fair temps all 5 days. Had the 3 yo granddaughter along with the two hounds. Stay in our 2002 Itasca Sunrise 32V pulling our 2009 Jeep Wrangler toad. Ain't life grand.
- SnomasExplorerWe are leaving Denver right after Xmas to Sedona AZ then onto San Diego. Stay on Mission Bay for 2 months then onto Phoenix for several weeks before heading back to Denver by late March!!
- wclogger1ExplorerLeaving Chase, BC on the 29th going to our Escapee's chapter lunch & meeting and will cross the border at Osoyoos, BC on Nov 1st, then it is Overton, NV or the Oregon coast if the weather looks o.k. Then to North Ranch & Q & Borrego springs & San Diego & then to Vegas for the construction equipment show & then work our way home for the end of March. Sheesh, now I'm tired.
Good travels, Bob
