That is why I told you to go over to www.tiffinrvnetwork.com. Those guys will tell you exactly where to find that valve. And there are instructions there on sanitizing your fresh water tank too. But I'll save you the trouble of looking - here is the link: http://www.rvtechlibrary.com/plumbing/sanitizing.htm
Yes I can see where the tank is, but the plumbing compartment is on the other side of the RV and so far no valve.
Thanks - obgrahamExplorerYou may have to just bite the bullet, get down on your back under the rig and track where that tank drains to. Messy, but effective.
- 427435ExplorerAnd then there are many like us, who have never sanitized the water tank. Seven years and counting, and all I do is drain the tank at the end of the season and fill again when needed.
- wealthwiseExplorerThanks for all the suggestions

Can you see your water tank? It is going to be someplace below the bottom of the tank. With my motorhome in the plumbing compartment you can see the drain pipe coming from the water tank with a valve on it and an elbow with the drain pipe going out the bottom.

Thanks - viajanteExplorerBased on advice I read on this forum, I put 1/4 cup of bleach for every 15 gallons of water (1 1/2 cups for me). I fill the tank, turn on the water until I smell bleach and let it sit overnight. In the morning I drive around a bit then empty the tank and flush it twice.
That works for me and I have had no problems in 12 years. - ferndaleflyerExplorer IIII would like to see what happens here----My water smells awful and I have several times in the past put in Clorox and a commercial water pureafier and it gets no better....Seems fine when hooked to shore water but smells awful otherwise.
- robatthelakeExplorerOne Teaspoon per 5 gallons will sanitize Your system.Or as Granny used to say One Teaspoon of Tea per person and One for the Pot!
We have a 100gallon Tank . I allow for an extra 20 Gallons of Plumbing so 120 Gallons of Water.
120/5= 24 Teaspoons equals 1/2 Cup of Clorox or other Bleach! - wolfe10ExplorerNo, a couple of drops of bleach will not sanitize the tank.
Add 1/2 cup of bleach to your empty hose, connect to shore water and fill the empty tank to the top. - wny_pat1ExplorerMy Allegro was comletely different than your, but you can find all kinds of help over at the Tiffin RV Network, the Tiffin owners web site.
