Where the best place to buy tires for my MH

They are 19 inch on a one ton Dodge. What tire holds up the best. It 0 outside and 4 inches of snow today. This has been a cold winter so far in the east. Plus no sine of let up in the coming days. I bet those snow birds wish they were back home. My sister is a Snow bird and I half to stay home and work taking care of my rentals.
  • Not sure if they can handle 19 inch rims (but I wouldn't be surprised if they did) but Costco is a good place to look as well. When looking for a 16 inch spare (225/75-16) for our Class C they had the best price on Michelin's in our area. Additionally they also have a ridiculously good 5 year road hazard warranty on tires they sell. Worth a look.

Edit : Not sure Costco could handle your rig though . . . I have seen them working on larger vehicles "outside" the tire shop but not sure if it is common practice.
  • Unless you are planning on doing it yourself, find a truck tire company somewhere as local as possible. They will have the heavy-duty equipment to mount and balance the larger tires, and a garage to do it in. And they will have access to most brands of tire to fit. Most auto tire companies do not have that size equipment.
  • Dumb me what is FMCA and how does it work? My MC has LT 215/85 10 ply. I stop at Sams Club and they half to order the tires and no specials now.
  • If you are an FMCA member and want Michelin's find a Michelin Distributor who participates in the FMCA Michelin tire purchase program. Tires are billed through FMCA and then the installation charges are paid to the dealer.
  • Just a comment about where they might be manufactured...My Michelins were manufactured in Spain...go figure. We are very pleased with how the GoodSam Tire program helped us with our purchase. Also, very happy with the tires. I always will lean toward quality rather than price when it comes to safety, in this case I believe "you get what you pay for", in Michelin quality.
  • Look at tire rack.com. Their pricing is good and they will ship to an approved installer near you. I have used them and America's tire with good results.

America's tire matched tire racks pricing for 6 Michelins for my rig.I have 5 vehicles so they want my business. With so many tires being imported it's difficult to choose. Do your homework.

One thing for me is price does not dictate what I will purchase. I find asking about tires is like asking about pickup trucks, the Ford Dodge GM folks all have their opinions and you know what they

    say about opinions.
