who has 340-hp Cummins 6.7 turbo 2500 Allison

I am looking at the new Winnebago Forza, see if anyone has the same engine, and want to know if this is a reliable engine, how about the speed and torque if GCWR is 33000lbs, GVWR is 27910lbs.
  • Thanks for every reply and feedback, I'd made my decision, I wrote the check to the dealer this morning, it's down to bigger engine, bigger trans, need bigger
paycheck, The Forza 38R is the one we can afford and DW love the floor plan, I don't plan to do any drag race on the hwy, or like many said only 5% of our travels are climbing grades, I think I can live with that.

I know a fellow that bought a HR 3 years ago 36sh ft some slides and he,s extremely disappointed in the power especially pulling toad
its reliable but poor power for the weight.not on flats just when accessing mountain passes and steep hills

We have friends that had the same experience. The 6.7L is a fine engine, but not enough engine for 33k.
You think that it isn't enough, you should try a Detroit 6-71 (238 hp) pulling 80,000 lbs or a Cummins 250 pulling 135,000 lbs! When you've done that you know a 5.9 moving a 24k motorhome does a really fine job. But I must admit that I do envy the guys with those Cummins ISX engines!!! As a retired driver, I have never driven anything with that kind of power!!! Biggest power I've ever pulled with was a wore out 425 Cat.
  • Freslang,

You have the model I'm very interested in. I tried sending you a a message to ask you about it, but your settings don't allow this.

I want to travel almost full-time with my wife, two kids and a nanny. Will this coach work for that? How do you like yours so far?

I can't find a single photo of the interior of this coach on the web. Do you know where I could find some photos?
