Wholesale Warranty extended service agreement

:B Thanks again everyone. I did check with Good Sams and as one person said the prices go straight North after 4 years. Their 4 year deal was about $560 per year for 4 years($250 ded) (tires not included)after that same policy but 7 years was over $1000 a year.
Tire warranty was $75 a year however I have to do more homework as it seems they only cover up to $450 and says nothing about rims.
So WW does seem like a great deal with tire / rim/ coach coverage pay in full price of about $518 a year......hmmmmmm

I have nothing but the very best comments on Wholesale Warranty, their products and their personnel. I've dealt with the company for many years. They helped me file a claim when I had one. It was paid satisfactorily. Over the years, on different motorhomes, my warranty has paid for replacement of my HWH jack, a jack motor, and jack springs. Basement a/c repair. Replacement of the cooling unit on my Norcold frig. The motherboard on the frig. and other things I can't remember at the moment. Even with this high recommendation, my new rig was negotiated with an included dealer supplied extended warranty. It has been less than a month and I received my partial refund check from Wholesale Warranties without the slightest form of a hassle. Although I am not their customer at the present time I am sure I will renew my relationship with the company in three years when the dealers warranty expires.

For the OP, I would hold off for now considering the age of your coach and the multiple warranties of a new coach but something you might want to consider is that a lengthy coverage term now might have a lower overall cost then when the coach is three years old and the OEM coverage has expired. A bit like life insurance. Low cost when you're young but hit the magic number and the policy doesn't appear as cost effective as you might like.

Extended service agreements are a pretty personal item and I think Dennis spelled out the pros rather well. For the full timer a contract might be pretty high on the must haves while the weekender not so much. Any current and future owner who is considering the purchase must read very carefully, or even seek out professional third part assistance, the coverage details. Know what you are buying and what you are not. Take notes in particular what is not listed. It it's not there it's not covered. Nothing is implied in these contracts.

Personally, at the moment I have no use for one. I'm still just a weekender, coach is in my driveway and I'm in good enough health to make repairs as needed and as my budget allows.

I purchased my policy last year and have used it 3 times for a cost saving of about $8,000. ExtraRide is very highly regarded on All rv forums. The price can vary widely. I purchased my policy from Lerch RV in PA, after much price shopping. I did not buy my coach from them, only the policy. I did the transaction on the phone. Very nice people to deal with.

Each service place I used said ExtraRide was very easy to deal with. That was very reassuring.

I have a warranty contract purchased from Wholesale Warranty. Look for the fine print "water damage" the company I have, has used that as a reason not to replace an antenna dome system because it is out in the weather. I have review camera issues and they blew that off too. WW no longer does business with this company, because of the practices, but I'm still stuck with them. That said, I recently had several thousand dollars in repairs completed at Spartan and they covered most of it. They argue and only pay a percentage of the cost. I do not remember reading that they only "pay a percentage", they only state that the part is covered in the contract. Currently I have received repairs double the initial cost of the warranty contract. Of course they are only good if the warranty company will pay and you jump through all the obstacles in the path for payment. One of them is sending out an inspector. He verifies the problem, they delay more, and challenge the repair facility that I did not want the repair, even after I signed a repair order. Of course all this takes time and effort of the repair facility personnel. Their solution is not to return calls or talk to the repair facility. I think they try to out wait the repair facility and the owner. The repair facility must at sometime move on to another vehicle.

70,000 mile warranty doesn't seem like a great deal if you drive a lot, ie: full time

Thanks everyone so far, it really goes to peace of mind as $121 an hour for service does get eaten up fast.
With that said, WW had stated that they switched companies 2 years ago because the last warranty company had "issues".
If you think about it, a new engine has a 36 month warranty (Ford, gas, Bounder) so as long as you have towing you can get any engine , drive train issues taken care of at no cost. Than you only deal with the interior of the RV issues that may arise.
I'm trying to get past the point that all these subsideries of the warranty company have issues and low BBB rating when "dealing with auto extended warranties".
What makes an RV any different? Actually even more expensive as one person stated over $10,000 in costs.

WW did say they would send at their cost a service man out to review the coach to affirm that it is what I stated it was and with the current mileage.
I can understand that as a lot of people let their original factory warranties run out than expect the extended warranty to take care of any issues.

I bought a contract with them just before going full time two years ago. No shop and limited tools along with major problem coverage it just made sense. I used the policy for the first time this month because my Voyage rear view monitor was acting up. Taking the information to a local RV facility they had a brand new one in a couple of weeks. The invoice was almost $800. It cost me $178. Not sure how that worked because my deductible is only $100 but it must be new math. In any case I am very pleased with how easy it was to use. I made no contact with the contract company, the rv place took care of everything.
