Disclaimer: These were "MY" reasons and only "MY" reasons why I chose a Class C. And money was no object in what I purchased. :W
x2 on safety. That expansive front windshield and no front end to speak of being a big reason of not being safe.
Just a 30 mph front end accident explodes the huge windshield in an A. And causes fatalities. More cases of fatalities in any type of crash. This was the main reason I choose not to buy one.
Only one entry/exit door. Yes there were at one time and may still be A's that have a drivers door but most don't.
They ride like a floating boat and sway in any type of wind or semi's passing. All you have to do is drive behind one and watch it being pushed all over the road.
I can make 3 point turns in my C just like any normal vehicle. I can maneuver in and out of just about any situation and into a site with little/no problems.
I can take my Class C to any shop and have it repaired as it is nothing more than a truck. Most shops won't take an A. I wanted to be able to get repairs done no matter where I was traveling without having to find a specialized RV dealer.
I've driven both on long trips and IMHO the C is a better ride handles betters and "I" feel safer. Just saying.
To each his own but these were "my" reasons. :C
