Why Me??

Decided to spend the month of august in one of our favorite campgrounds. Have spend the last three years in this campground, never a problem with any of the other campers. meet a lot of nice folks there, great owners and managers. This time we checked in and settled down for the month, went to walk our dogs, always go the the end unit away from any campers lawn. This lady three spaces down comes out and starts screaming at me , don't walk the dog there demanding i go somewhere else.. Ok, the rules, 1. on lease, check 2. pick up always check. 3. don't walk on campers lawn , check.
So i said what is your problem, no normal voice, and quit screaming at me. She keeps it up, so i suggest there are hosiptals and drs. for what ever she your problme. Now she is really going on. Went to the office to see if i have missed anything, No, the manager said just keep what your doing that i was following the rules as always. That the lady gets a little nuts.. So two days later i am walking my dog again, again three doors from her and out she comes just screaming and threating me. i ingore then her wimphy husband comes out and gets in my face. now when i said in my face his nose almost touching mine. Then he grabs my hand like he is going to shake it and tries to squeeze it like he is trying to hurt me. I look him in the eye and ask, are you just nuts are what?? I inform both of them, come at me again and both of you are going to jail then i walk away. When did i get so gentle.. oh me.
  • Your sign in is "Lucky13" and you ask "Why, Me?..:h...lol

It's possible they approached other campers this way and they offered them some beer to calm down. Now, they think everyone will do it. I'm sure the hubby was defending his wife's honor as any real hubby would do. I'm guessing they were still in their PJs and nightgown too....:B:B.

On a serious note, we've experienced some of this too at several campgrounds we've visited this year. IMHO, and that's all it is, I think as more people gravitate to campgrounds as permanent residents, they are still of the mindset that they OWN the place. WE then, are looked at as squatters, invading their little piece of paradise. Putting testosterone aside, I would have simply found another spot to walk my dog..oh! and offered them a beer....:B....Dennis

Hopefully your dog pee'd on his pant legs while you were both nose to nose hehe... They obviously have issues. Maybe the good side is they love each other...

I just ignore folks like this - ain't gonna spoil my camping stay...

  • Get the management to throw those Nuts out or bypass them and call the Cops next time....
  • Lucky13,
Well Sir, there have been, are now, and always will be, people who "skip by" the COMMON SENSE table when they're born. They walk right on by it. You see, it appears that without seeing or hearing "their side" of the story and, reading yours, that they don't know how to use a "common sense" approach and calmly walk up to you and DISCUSS what kind of issue they have with you and your dog.

If they'd have walked up to you and simply asked you about your operations with your dog, and if they'd like it be changed, then maybe you might have accommodated them, and then again you might have said, I'm following the rules and, I don't see the problem. So, people will be people and simply don't know how to be normal.
