Winegard 3005 stuck

My Winegard 3005 is stuck in the up position. How can you get it down manually and recalibrate it. Thanks

Bob
  • It's just simple. Remove screw from plug so it's separate from that. But you need a proper size screw driver.
  • My Travler has been so reliable that I haven't looked at the manual for years. However, I think that the manual lowering procedure is in the book that came with the dish.
  • BTW - you are right but it takes 3/8s. Glad the re-calibration worked

1/4inch socket set. I believe it is also a 1/4 inch socket. Go on the roof. Remove the large plastic plug with a flat blade screw driver. Insert socket using a long extension and start turning.
  • Talked with Winegard Tech via email. They gave me instructions on how to recalibrate it. It worked and we are up and running again. They even called me back and I was able to tell them Tech had fixed the problem. They were the best.
