Winnebago Aspect - no roof ladder

We have been looking at the Winnebago Aspect lately. From everything that I see I don't think they have a ladder on them. Did I miss something? Does it really make a difference? What do I miss if I don't have one (other than the chance to fall off the roof!)?

Thanks,

Richard
  • My Aspect has a ladder and considering my weight, a very sturdy one
  • This subject came up on the forums earlier this year. Apparently some manufacturer's are leaving the ladders off, most likely for liability reasons.

Here's the thread from the Class A forums: Where have all the ladders gone?

However, you still are required to do periodic maintenance checks on the roof, so that means you have to drag along a separate ladder. In my opinion, I think a ladder properly attached to the side of the RV is safer than an A-frame or lean-to ladder. I know the ladder on my motorhome is pretty securely attached.

Personally, it would be a deal breaker for me. No ladder, no purchase. Perhaps the dealer would be willing to install one?
