SCF Jeff, Maybe I do worry to much, After building 4 airplanes I cannot tolerate bad workmanship (no curbs up there). I didn't pay 100K for repairs after 2 trips. BTW my cheapy Fleetwood Terra 26Y never went in for warranty and went 10 years with no issues except oil and tires
If you watch these forums long enough you will find some amazing defects in almost all of them, from 5th wheel frames braking away from the pullie thing the truck plugs into, similiar frame and suspension issues with trailers, class C roof leaks, original Monaco (now owned by Fleetwood) trailing arm break away, etc.. Those are some that stick out and I'm sure folks could add more. Winnebago's shortcoming has always been sealant and adheisive as FIREUP is also well aware. If you inspect for cracks and fix it you will never have an issue, and they are very rare.. My main grip with Winnebago is the lousy prep when doing epoxy attachments to the shell that is a known problem for years and they cant seem to figure out what the rest of us have with a little surface prep and no further issues.. Sealant really isnt really a problem, but you do need to pay attention to is once in awhile. I fixed mine several years ago and no further issues.
Maintenence, just like an airplane.... :)
