Winnebago ERA 70X 2010 Window Screens

Today I tried to figure out what I can do to fill the gap between the removable screens and the vehicle body. The air gap is about a 1/4" on all windows allowing gnats to come onboard. I'm thinking of gluing pieces of felt along the side edges of the screen frames. Does anyone have a better solution?
  • Well, Bob...so many things to check out when making the deal. We gave the windows and screens a look...but apparently not detailed enough.
The ones on our 05 Vista Cruiser were way worse...were not even attached to the frame on the sides!
  • As of today, we have yet to use the crank out windows, other than cleaning. It's been too warm around here and where we've been since we picked ours up in April. I suspect they'll get used some though in the coming weeks

Thanks George. We plan to try your solution.

PM me if you have any questions. Not hard to do. Good luck! BTW, I also have had luck quieting some rattles in the microwave and a few other places, Let me know if I can help.
  • Yesterday we were at Home Depot and found a product called EPDM Rubber Weatherseal by Frost King. It's a self stick rubber piece measuring 1/4" high by 5/16" wide. It's a half circle "D" shape. This product fits the gap in the ERA exactly! It went on in no time at all and is just a cut, peel and press solution. It comes in a small roll and the package contents easily covered the 7 screened sections. (We only applied it on the one edge that had the gap.) This solution makes it easy to remove screens as needed if the screening needs replacing or pulls out.
