- AJRExplorerI will second dog flea collar in fridge and water heater compartments. Been doing that for years.
On my first TT I hot glued a plastic window screen over the vents. Just tacked it to the inside of the cover for the fridge. - navegatorExplorerGo to Home Despot, purchase a product called Home Defense made by Ortho and spray the two screes at least once a month, the insects do like the smell and do not build nests, or wasp insecticide I use Home Defense on the lawn to keep the sand fleas in check and the mud daubers from the fridge and the compartment door locks.

Good luck finding any for the fridge.
I had a 2015 View 24V and never did find any for it. Also I never understood why Winnebago put the fridge in with a top side vent. This vents the fridge right under the edge of the awning. There was no reason for doing a side vent. It should have been a roof vent. A roof vent is much more effective on cooling than a side vent. The side vent should only be used when the fridge is in a slideout which on our units is not the case.
I'm having trouble finding one for my 12CF fridge in my Nexus. It has the center section of vent with a smaller opening on each side. The only thing I could think on it would be getting 2 sets and cutting one set in half for each small section.
Structural issues with roof?
I don't know, but the roof was a full walk on roof so your guess is as good as mine.
Perhaps they are trying to keep as much roof space available for solar panels. The dealer installed mine almost where a roof top fridge vent would be.
When I worked at a major RV dealer as a "delivery guide", giving the walk-around and walk-through to new buyers, we always suggested putting a dog flea collar in the fridge and water heater compartments. Bugs, spiders, bees, etc. don't like the smell of it apparently. I've been doing it for over ten years with the different motorhomes I've owned, and never had an insect problem in those compartments. At the beginning of each season I cut a new dog flea collar in half and put a half in the outside fridge and wager heater compartment. - Butch50Explorer

Update on this subject. I was at the RV dealer today and he said they do not make an aftermarket vent cover for these 2017 yet.
The parts manager said cooling is critical like some of the others have mentioned and he did not put any on his personal motorhome unit and said he just checks it frequently for mud daubers and other insects.
The vent is the same one that was on my 2015 so I don't know what your RV dealer is talking about. They are coming out with the 2018 models already so how many years does it take? I think it is more likely they only put out ones for the most common fridges and if there are not enough sold it isn't worth their time to make one. - HawkTXExplorerUpdate on this subject. - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIJust purchase some window screen material (Home Depot/Lowes etc) and attach to inside of access vent covers
Keep in mind that AIR FLOW is critical to fridge function and you will need to keep any screens on those vent covers CLEAN....CLEAN
Otherwise you will have cooling issues and possible overheating problems
AIR FLOW is critical!
