Winnebago holding tanks

Winnebago uses the Precision Circuits "OnePlace" tank monitoring system on many different coaches. The same monitor panel is used for multiple and single tank installations. There is a set of terminals on the rear of the monitor screen used when there is more than one black or grey water tank. Apparently your monitor has the terminals connected even though you only have one grey and one black water tank.

On the bottom of the second page is a diagram showing the connections for multiple tanks.

I reviewed the owner's manual and it says that the tank capacity for the gray and black are roughly 38 gallons each. The interesting thing is that the panel says:

Fresh Water Tank.......1/2
Gray Waste Tank 1......3/4
Gray Waste Tank 2......E
Black Waste Tank 1.....1/2
Black Waste Tank 2.....E
Propane................Full

Only the first Gray and first Black lines register a level other than "E". So I will e-mail my dealer and ask them about the panel readings. I should have read the manual before I posted so that I knew that I have only one tank (roughly 38 gallons) for each type of waste.

I will go to the rig tomorrow and take a picture of the monitor screen and I will check the led lighting that represents each tank. Thanks for the information.

If your rig is like the vast majority of RVs you have ONE black water holding tank which collects waste from only your toilet(s) and ONE gray water holding tank which collects waste from the kitchen sink, the bathroom sink and shower. If you do dishes 2 or 3 times a day, take leisurely (non-navy) showers, you will fill the gray holding tank MUCH FASTER than the black tank. If you have a washer/dryer, the gray tank will fill 5 times faster than that which is why you must keep open the gray valve when doing laundry. When your monitor indicates one of the tanks is getting full, dump them both.

I have the 35G-2015. You have one black and one grey.

The 2013 Sightseer 35G uses a different tank monitoring system than some previous year models. Rather than a set of indicator lights for each tank it has a digital display as shown on page 4 - 5 of the owners manual

The monitoring display shows four tanks, but they're not all black and grey water. In order from top to bottom the displays are:

The top line on the display is Fresh Water
The second Line from the top is LP Gas
The third line from the top is Gray Water
The bottom line is Black Water

The water tanks (fresh, Gray, & black) read in 1/3 increments i.e. 1/3, 2/3, Full.

The propane tank reads in 1/4 increments i.e. 1/4, 1/2, 3,4, Full

There is no mention of dual gray or black water tanks in any Winnebago publication I can find. Neither the advertising brochure, the owners manual, or the plumbing diagrams indicate there is more than a single gray and black water tank. Going from the plumbing diagrams available online no Sightseer model for the 2013 model year came with dual gray or black water tanks.

The four columns of indicator lights in my MH are black, grey, fresh water, and propane. Maybe your panel is labeled wrong?

I only see one tank each for black and grey on your plumbing diagram.

Maybe you have the wrong monitor panel installed?

I looked up the specs an it says one grey and one black tank.....

Hmm ... what are you looking at on your panel???
