Winnebago. Journey or Itasca higher end?

On a 2007 34' DP, is the Journey a higher end model than Itasca Meridian?
Are these 2 models similar to the Fleetwood Bounder and Southwind, or Southwind and Pace Arrow?
Not similar in quality but comparing the levels of finish like the Fleetwood.
  • If you go here you can download the product brochures for the 2007 models, or select a different year on the "previous page" link. Then you can compare what is 'standard' and 'optional' for any particular model.

As you can see, they are lined up by matching models for the Winnebago and Itasca lines... Journey and Meridian, Tour and Ellipse, Vectra and Horizon.

Winnebago does have a habit of dropping models and shifting things around a bit in some years; for example at the moment the Vectra/Horizon line is gone and the Tour/Ellipse is the top-end.
  • Look at the interiors, the Itasca has some colors we like better than the journey
  • Thanks for the replies. So it sounds like the 2 are very similiar.
I wasn't comparing quality of Winnebago vs Fleetwood, more of an analogy between the Journey and Itasca like the Chev/GMC Medico posted.
  • And I'd say closer to Southwind and Pace Arrow. But concur that options on the Journey can really blur them together. If shopping used, the one with the best care and documented maintenance, would be the difference maker to me.

    Best of luck,
    Smitty
  • The Journey and Meridian are almost exact copies similar to Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra in the truck lines. The GMC includes more items standard than the Chevy, but all options are available for both.
  • Not exactly..
While the Meridian comes one way (fully loaded, with the exception of the SE), the Journey can be optioned exactly the same. The only difference will be the branding on the side.

The other coaches you are asking to rate are all gassers and in a completely different league.
  • Both the Journey and the Itasca are very nice coaches made by Winnebago! I'm on my third Winnebago and yes the Itasca has a little more detail in there coaches!
