winnebago leveling problem

We have a 2007 Winnebago 29b which we bought last year. We are careful about leveling it at campgrounds. But about a day after using it with the slides out we notice it lists to the driver's side even when parking on a concrete pad. There are 2 slides on one side, and predictably it tilts somewhat to that side. Is this a common problem?
  • Thanks for the good information. From what I read in your posts it's normal for the side with the 2 slides to tilt down a little in comparison with the other side. This happens when the slides are out. We will have to compensate for this when leveling the unit. (Wish we had automatic levelers!)
  • You may have to adjust the jacks a little bit after putting the slides out.

But I've had a problem in the past where one of my jacks slowly retracted over about a week's time. So check that out if the listing is truly happening a day later.
  • I level my 29B about an inch higher on the street side, then it is level when the weight of the slides makes the springs sag a little on that side.

This is not something that happens a day later, it happens as soon as you run the slides out. You might just be noticing it a day later.
  • Putting the slides out changes the center of gravity of the vehicle, resulting in more weight on the driver's side springs and less weight on the passenger side springs. A tilt to the heavy side is normal when a significant amount of weight shifts from one side to the other.

Are you saying that the tilt isn't noticeable until a day or so after putting the slides out? Are you saying that the tilt doesn't go away after pulling the slides back in?
  • Are you putting the jacks down first before opening slides?
    Are the jacks auto leveling?

Sometimes after leaving than putting out the slides. You may have to relevel by simply.
By hitting the auto level button again.

Concrete pads are not always as level as they appear.
