This past winter we had a leak at the rear of the drivers side slide. When I got up there to check the possible area, I found about 6 feet of the sealant was not adhering to the side rail. I found it very east to push a little on the roof and see it move away from the side. Took a utility knife cut it away and took a narrow stiff bristled brush and scrubbed the seam area then blew out with air and ran a terry cloth down between to top and side. Finished the 7 feet, 6 inches on either side of the loose seam and re-caulked. Easy simple and good enough until next month when I do the rest. Winnie suggests doing that every two years.
I am thinking of scrubbing the roof with mild scouring powder, replacing all the roof sealant and taking it to a shop to have the roof painted with a good marine grade two part paint. I don't get much but what little white streaking I get looks like I'm not caring for the rig.
I really like the rig but the lighting isn't to my liking. I'm going to get another light for the bedroom ceiling and converting the tubes to LED strips.
