I guess I am a pessimist. I have not tried that approach, but would not think a high pressure low volume compressor would do a very good job of blowing out the lines. You need volume to move the water, and do not want the pressure to exceed about 40 psi to make sure you do not damage your pipes.
As for the air tank, the pressure and volume would drop very fast on a tank that small.
Spring for an inexpensive tank compressor with a pressure control knob. You can get a Harbor Freight 3 gallon pancake compressor on sale for $39.99. I have two of those, one in the RV and one for my farm equipment. Or a little better quality one for $100 or less.
