Snip... on our first trip out with this motor home the water tasted terrible. I blamed the campground, but it must have been anti freeze in the lines LOL.
There is a reason why you water tasted like antifreeze. Who ever did the winterizing, put A/F in the freshwater tank, the water heater, or both. If that happens you'll "never" get the taste out. So avoid that. Always By pass the water heater. Never put any A/F in the freshwater tank.
If you don't have a "winterize" setting on your water control panel, then do as above. Connect your shower hose to the inlet side of the water pump and place the other end in the A/F bottle. Turn on the pump and let it pressurize the lines. Then go around and open each hot and cold faucet til pink comes out. Don't forget toilet flush valve, ice maker, outside shower, etc. Make sure you do both the hot and cold sides. While pump is on and lines are pressurized, go under and crack open the low point drains. When they start seeping the pink stuff close them up. Done.
Make sure the water heater is empty. And be sure to drain all the tanks. Add some A/F to toilet, to keep seal conditioned. Some people put a little A/F in the black and Gray tanks to keep the valve seals "conditioned".
